Moroccan Tours: see the Rif Mountains and Berber towns and villages around beautiful Tangier.

Explore the areas around Morocco’s Imperial Cities. Look around the spice markets, experience the souks and even try a camel burger.

Day 1 : Casablanca

We will meet our guides and fellow tourists in Casablanca where we can eat and enjoy the atmosphere of the city’s lively medina.

Day 2 : Meknes / Moulay Idriss

The second day of our tour will see us travel by train to Meknes, an impressive imperial fortress of nearly 50 palaces built by more than 25,000 slaves. We will explore these incredible ruins with a local guide.

If you want to, you can even try some local fast food, served from a hole-in-the-wall eatery – a Moroccan camel burger.

Then it’s off to Moulay Idriss for a home-cooked meal in a local guesthouse, where we will show you how cous-cous is prepared and cooked in a local fashion.

Days 3-4 : Fes / Meknes

Fes is Morocco’s oldest city (older even than Marrakech). Our tour of Fes will have you tasting an amazing array of food in its labyrinth of souks: everything from pickled lemons and warm olives to almond juice and succulent dates. You can even learn to make a traditional pastilla (a type of exotic meat pie) in a cooking class.

We will then enjoy some wine tasting in the vineyards of Meknes before discovering the other local drop (olive oil!) at an olive oil press.

Days 5-6 : Marrakech

Learn the art of tagine cooking at a unique school that empowers local women. Then head into the heart of the Djemaa el Fna Medina to feast at the famous street food bazaar. In your free time, perhaps you’d like to explore the revered Koutoubia Mosque, Jardin Majorelle or Saadian tombs.

Days 7-8 : Essaouira

Once a Portuguese settlement, Essaouira is Morocco’s artistic seaside hub. Take a wander around the fish market and see what you can find for your lunch. Tonight is a real treat – stay in a traditional riad that is a literal oasis from the bustle of the streets outside. You can lounge in the central courtyard, soaking up the peace and beauty of the night.

Days 9-10 : Marrakech

Our tour will return to Marrakech. We will go to visit a popular spice souk with a local food guru before we celebrate your final evening of Moroccan hospitality with a feast.
